The Riptide-S 3 Electric Beach Cruiser captures the essence of effortless summer riding while delivering the performance and reliability expected from an AMPD electric bike. Built around a lightweight aluminium frame, the Riptide-S 3 is available in both step-over and low-bar step-through designs, making it accessible for a wide range of riders. The upright riding position, wide handlebars, and plush Velo comfort seat create a relaxed cruising posture that keeps every ride smooth and enjoyable.
Power is delivered by a high-torque Bafang rear hub motor, paired with Ampd Brothersâ custom controller system for smooth acceleration and predictable pedal assistance. The 48V 15Ah Samsung lithium battery, built with premium 21700 cells, provides up to 60km of range, making it ideal for longer rides and weekend adventures. The battery is fully removable for convenient charging on or off the bike.
Rolling on 26 x 3.0â fat street tyres, the Riptide-S 3 offers excellent stability, cushioning, and grip on paved surfaces without sacrificing efficiency. Tektro hydraulic disc brakes with motor cut-off ensure confident stopping power, while the Shimano 7-speed drivetrain allows easy gear changes to suit changing terrain.
